“Back in the day” it was well known that you needed 5-7 exposures to influence someone to choose to do business with you or buy your products and marketing was fairly simple.

The rise of Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram has lead to an entire new way of “selling through social” which ironically is by selling less in our messaging and giving more value and providing entertainment.
Features and benefits are no longer enough and not appropriate for social channels.
Authenticity, storytelling and values are all the buzz and there's so many possible channels to market on. So the next questions are about what to say, how to say it, and who to say it to...

Understand & Develop Your Story
Humans have connected through storytelling for millennia and being able to succinctly tell your story in a way that takes your clients on a journey they resonate with makes a massive impact on how you then approach Social Media entirely.
This phase begins with an overview of the method of storytelling for business and digging into your customer persona's as well as the company values and challenges to set the foundation of the storytelling process.
Once we have the framework for the story you can then frame each piece of content much easier to be effective - INTENTIONAL Storytelling.

Content has to have a good mix of entertainment and value, or Edutainment.

We then focus on the next 30 days of content and break the strategy into 3 Core areas.
1. Content Pillars - We establish the high-level content pillars for the business. These are based on the values of you and your company
2. Content Subjects - From each of the Content Pillars we develop the overarching content subjects
3. Content Topics - From each subject we establish content topics which are post specific and what you develop content for that can then be modified to be platform specific and syndicated to give you mass exposure
These are all then mapped into a month long calendar and is a process that can be replicated every month (in under an hour).

What's My Story?
When I was 16 I nearly died on the operating table after rupturing my spleen in a high school rugby match and bleeding for close to 2 hrs waiting for an ambulance
15yrs later I nearly lost my life again trying to rescue a woman caught in a house fire. I failed and ended up leaving the Police
Those two moments made me realise how much I valued life and gave me an unwavering desire to make a positive difference in others lives every single day.
I excelled in the corporate world but it crushed me and I kept burning out. Eventually I bought into SureFire Search & became Managing Partner
Working with larger businesses was great but I felt I could make a massive difference if I could help passionate small business owners
I began doing pro-bono work in 2017 & started asking them to share their fears, challenges, frustrations and needs in return
The overwhelming response was that of frustration, skepticism, and anger at being misled by digital marketers they had dealt with in the past
This coupled with a lack of clear direction on what they should be doing identified an opportunity to make a difference

I've gained insights and experience from being in the police force (managing your emotions in high stress situations), managing large sales team, his role as a managing partner of one of NZ's largest SEO companies, and from his successful track record of acquiring, building and selling businesses.
